Shortly after moving to Virginia from the west coast in 2010, I began my exploration for a spiritual community that would feed and help me grow spiritually, emotionally and feel close to my heart-centered values of inclusion, equity, kindness and divine oneness with spirit. I visited many churches and communities over the years and sometime around 2015, I accepted an invitation to come to Unity of Fairfax with my next door neighbor. What joy! I felt as if I came home that day.
Over the years, I’ve become more involved as my wonderful preteen/teenage children have grown up and I’ve had more time. I have appreciated the opportunities to be involved in the hiking club, volunteering at the bookstore and now sitting on the Board of Trustees. Unity and this community of beautiful souls have enriched my life in so many ways; I love the ability to give back and stay closely connected.
Professionally, I am a global leader in human resources for a technology consulting firm. I have over 20 years of experience in my field and hope to leverage any and all of that experience in the cooperative leadership of the church.
Personally, I devote my free time to my son and daughter and their myriad sports and activities. I’m a history buff, reading books, historical fiction/non-fiction, watching documentaries, period movies/series and love being outside - walking, hiking and the gym.
