Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m.
Holy Saturday is a day of deep abidance, as the anguish of crucifixion is tempered with pregnant expectation. Faith is tested, as we rest in stillness and silence, and await what will fill our innermost emptiness.
Unity of Fairfax’s Holy Saturday Retreat is co-sponsored by the Prayer Chaplains and the Retreat Team. You may participate in all or any of the meditation sessions in person in the Sanctuary or via Zoom.
Four Meditations Sessions
- 11:00 a.m.
- 11:45 a.m.
- 1:00 p.m.
- 1:45 p.m.
Each meditation will open with a short reading related to this mysterious and hallowed period of Holy Week, and a meditation bell will take us into approximately 25 minutes of shared silence.
There will be approximately 10 minutes of free time between the two morning meditations and the two afternoon meditations, with a longer period for lunch.
