Wisdom Practice Circle - Zoom only (during Summer); (Rm. 5, Zoom)

Every other Thursday
10:30 a.m. – 12 noon

The Wisdom Practice Circle continues to engage with traditional wisdom practices for self-remembering and living from Divine Presence.

We will:

  • Offer both in-person (in the Chapel) and online participation (via Zoom)
  • Share spiritual practices to support knowing with more of you
  • Support one another’s spiritual growth
  • Encourage one another’s daily meditation practice

Living Presence: The Sufi Path

In our upcoming series we will work with the revised edition of Kabir Helminski’s Living Presence: A Sufi Path to Mindfulness and the Essential Self.

We will watch a video recording of Adyashanti discussing the opening chapter of his book, Resurrection Jesus: Embodying the Spirit of a Revolutionary Mystic.  

July 25, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

We will watch a video recording of Cynthia Bourgeault’s Eastertide talk, followed by Q&A with students.

August 21, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Our own Bruce Russell will talk to us about what he shared and received during his recent trip to India. 

Fall Schedule (Series 4)

This series is based on the book Resurrecting Jesus: Embodying the Spirit of a Revolutionary Mystic, by Adyashanti (or “Adya”).

All gatherings will be hybrid (in person at Unity of Fairfax and via Zoom) Thursdays from 10:30–noon, roughly every two weeks, beginning September 9, 2024.

Normally our gathering include a period of silent meditation, but on two gatherings we will view a video recording of Q&A sessions with Adya.
