Feed our Community is an initiative of the Unity of Fairfax Social Justice Team. For information about the team, go here.
According to the Capital Area Food Bank, 25% of Fairfax County residents (nearly 288,000 people) are food insecure.
Unity of Fairfax has inaugurated an ongoing food drive for shelf-stable items. You’ll notice bins for food under the “Tree of Life” at the back of the Sanctuary.
Each week, donations will be taken to our community partner Cornerstones for distribution. Members of our own community are welcome to partake of this abundance.
Speak to Rev. Russ or Social Justice Chair Patty Hagan about the logistics of receiving aid.
