“Heartstrings”: A concert to benefit Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary will be held in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax’s (UUCF) Act for Climate Today (ACT!) team the evening of October 19.
Joanne Kong and Christoph Wagner, internationally acclaimed classical artists, are planning to reprise a concert that they gave at UUCF in November 2022, at River Road UU in March 2023, and at a house concert in spring 2023.
Joanne, a classical pianist, and Christoph, a cellist, perform classical musical selections while showing images and quotes interspersed with brief reflections on the interconnectedness of all beings. This gentle hour of peace will be followed by a conversation with the guest artists and some plant-based finger foods (which ACT! will provide).
The event will include a free will offering that would raise funds for Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary, a Potomac, MD farm dedicated to inspiring compassion for farm animals, rescuing and rehabilitating farm animals, and providing educational programs.
