Youth and Family

WE BELIEVE ALL CHILDREN ARE EXPRESSIONS OF DIVINE LOVE.

Mission

To give children the experience that they are loved unconditionally.

To offer children a space to express themselves.

To demonstrate and teach children Unity spiritual principles.

To create activities for children to experience being a part of Unity's spiritual community.

Volunteer

We have all the curriculum and all the supplies. What we need now are a few more folks willing to engage with youth one Sunday a month.

Submit the online Volunteer Form and check the "Youth & Family" Area of Interest.
A staff member will respond with more information.

Thanksgiving Turkey with Feathers of Gratitude

On Sunday, November 24 our amazing youth came in with paper, glue, poster board and markers, and invited the adult members of the congregation to join them in writing what they were grateful for on paper feathers.  The kids helped each adult glue them on this poster to create this beautiful Thanksgiving Turkey full of gratitude, joy and love.

Uniteens and the Y.O.U.

Uniteens are Middle Schoolers and the Y.O.U. (Youth Of Unity) are High Schoolers who meet during the 11:00 a.m. service. Y.O.U is the culmination of Unity youth spiritual education.

Every year Unity Eastern Region sponsors two Retreat Weekends for Uniteens and three Rallies for the Y.O.U. During these events the young people from up and down the East Coast come together to experience Unity teachings and making connections.

Teens often describe these events as a high point in their life.

Special Events

Unity of Fairfax offers Family Friendly Events throughout the year. Gingerbread House Decorating, visits with the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, Easter Egg Hunts, Youth Variety Show, visits from animal rescue groups, and EarthCare activities are examples.
